Support Kids in Austin Impacted by SNAP Reductions

The ongoing government shutdown and cuts to SNAP benefits are creating an urgent food crisis for families right here in Austin. It's estimated that 1 in 4 local children face food insecurity.
As pediatric dietitians, we know firsthand that lack of consistent nutrition deeply impacts a child's attention, immunity, and school attendance.​

We believe in supporting our community directly. That's why we're collecting funds to benefit students at Patton Elementary  who are impacted by this crisis. ​​

Your contribution will provide immediate relief to kids by ensuring they have nutritious, kid-friendly meals and snacks on the weekends when school meals aren't available.
100% of the funds raised go directly toward purchasing essential food items for distribution to families impacted.
We will continue this support until the SNAP funding crisis is resolved.
